Traditionally black and white have been used  in Yin-Yang symbols to represent opposites of energies: positive and negative, masculine and feminine, receptivity and aggression. However, we are never truly 100% on either end of those spectrums. No one is 100% masculine, nor 100% feminine for example. With Zen-like form we flow between the two energies. In this unique pendant design, artist Jaqui Michells has re-defined  the ancient. Sculpting the form from light and shadow, we can see here that Yin and Yang have no delineation between them. Thus, in a literal sense, we see the flow of the energies - how they meet and combine. The pendant also rotates. As it does, Yin becomes Yang, and Yang becomes Yin, emphasizing the changing nature of all energy.
